the first Tuesday of the month
Our first morning in San Francisco was the first Tuesday of July, which was great, because that happens to be the day that the museums are free. We picked up a muni pass and went to the Yerba Buena Gardens while waiting for the Museum of Modern Art to Open.

This is pigeon proofing.
There were a lot of neat little and big churches that we saw.
Simon got very wet in this fountain and it was a cool day. Becca was really frustrated because she was afraid he would be cold and want to go back to the hotel.
Becca commented that there were a lot of heart sculptures in San Francisco, scattered everywhere. "The city of love"?

Simon likes to be in pictures too.
Is he fanning her or tickling her?
Simon didn't seem disturbed by him, whichever.

I wouldn't do that.
I would do this. (The camera zoom did a good job of capturing things that were relatively far away)

It's hard to explain the impact of this one. The black poodles are surrounding a white baby, that looks like the baby Jesus in nativities. It was very strange and disturbing.
Spiders don't really bother me though.
Simon really did want to go across the street and up on this roof to be with Waldo.
This was made of shishkabob skewers. Much more delicate than it looks here.
Big murals on both sides of the main staircase. George and Thomas.

With all my visits to SF I've never been in any of the art museums. Pretty sad, huh?
