We had 42 weddings at the temple yesterday and didn't even try to get substitutes. We figured that we could leave right at 4:00 and make it to West Jordan before 5:00. We did and the party was still in full swing. Al and Bev and Laurie and Marlin had been there and gone. We were sorry we missed them. I took a picture of Aunt Jennette with my cell phone right as we got there. It's a nice one. She started looking a bit more tired and irritable even in the 40 minutes or so that we were there. Merrill has a nice property with horses etc. We went in the back gate. Lots of construction in that area. Lots of contstruction everywhere.
They have been building bridges next to the I-80 freeway bridges on 2300 East and will be putting them in place between the 15th and 31st of Oct. I'm thinking of parking in the Jewish Center to watch the demolition and installation. It is amazing what they have been able to do and still allow traffic to continue under the bridges.
