what would you say and how would you say it?

God is the father of our spirits and loves us. He created the earth and sent us from his presence to have experiences and learn the difference between good and evil. He sent Jesus Christ, his son, with a physical body that was half immortal, to provide a pattern of goodness, to take responsibility for and conquer evil so that if we would follow Christ, he could take away the effects of our sins on us and on those we have hurt. Christ would stand up for us and bring us back to God.

At various times through history God has organized people and priesthood to prepare the world for special events and to teach truth. In 1830, God answered a young boy's prayer by coming, in person, with Jesus Christ and preparing that boy, Joseph Smith, to restore The Church of Jesus Christ, the church, priesthood, doctrine and patterns that Christ established when he was on the earth. At this time in the world's history God wanted to begin getting people ready and prepare the world for the time when Christ would come again and establish peace on the earth.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, led by modern prophets and apostles, successors to Joseph Smith, under the direction of Christ, has been charged with the responsibility of fulfilling all of the promises and prophecies in the Bible. Our task as individuals is to have faith in Christ, repent of our sins, be baptized to become clean through Christ, and receive the Holy Ghost in order to have inspiration, direction and God's help in overcoming our problems and in helping others.

After we die, our spirits can continue to be a part of God's work, in the spirit world. When Christ comes to the earth again, we can return with him in a physical body, resurrected, becoming like Christ and God. We can continue to live and work, with our families, to help the entire human race.
