My mother, Laura Carlson sent this Christmas card to her brother Daniel Davidson and his wife Mary, postmarked Dec 23, 1942. The typical Christmas card greeting inside reads: "CHRISTMAS Greetings may the coming year be filled with HAPPINESS" with a postscript greeting quote by Charles Dickens: "There seems a magic in the very name of Christmas."There is no personal note. Laura signed it: Harold & Laura Alvin & Betty."
