Valentines Day marks an anniversary for us -- 45 years from the day we met. For us it is a day of celebration and sweet remembering. Forty-three couples were married on our temple shift yesterday. Ken was on escort duty and was very busy. Among other things I had charge of helping workers know where to go when they had extra time, what to do when they weren't replaced or couldn't fill an assignment. It was an amazing dance and things worked out. When one worker asked for a barf bag for a bride who was feeling sick, fortunately I had her take a towel as well. She did manage to get married, but it was a "colorful" day a lot of people will remember.
We had dinner at a favorite Thai restaurant, ice cream at Maggie Moos, a walk through Whole Foods and Sundance Outlet, and a movie, "Twilight," at Movies 10. Lots of focused time together.
Ken got roses when he got gas in the morning before we left and it was, is, a beautiful boquet, fire and ice roses, with stunning floral and green filler. I am blessed with a romantic friend and lover.
